‘‘As a little girl I was fascinated with all things art. When I was 11, the film ‘Titanic’ was released - and I was obsessed!’’

My story
I began my career at the world renowned Greasepaint School of Makeup in 2008, now known as Iver Academy. I went on to spend many years honing my skills in the wig & makeup departments of London’s famed West End musicals. During this time I continued my education into ladies hairdressing at Walthamstow College. I progressed to touring shows around the UK and abroad before settling in Sydney for a year to work as a principle artist for Opera Australia.
Television and Film
2015 brought an exciting new chapter where I transferred my skills from theatre to television and film. Since then I have worked on many fantastic productions, from Netflix and Amazon to Hollywood block buster movies.
Over the years I’ve also worked in commercials, for the likes of Sainsbury’s, Nintendo and Hilton. I’ve also worked for the iconic beauty brand Bobbi Brown.
Where it began
As a little girl I was fascinated with all things art. When I was 11, the film ‘Titanic’ was released - and I was obsessed! My mum bought me a book about the making of the film and it was here I saw this picture of Leonardo DiCaprio with his makeup artist, Sian Grigg. I dreamt that one day I’d work for this lady. Fast forward 25 years and I have in fact worked under this accomplished designer.
I love my job!
I currently work as a lecturer at South Essex College, teaching students for the VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Fashion, Theatre, Media Hair and Makeup. My professional journey continues in the film industry, alongside freelance work with weddings and events.
